Who We Are

Our mission is to tell a better story about classical music, and to help artists and arts organizations bring more beauty into the world.

What We Believe

All things should happen in unison.

Everything we do - publicity, branding, social media, marketing, websites - we do in an integrated, holistic way, making sure that all are working in complete harmony, and the same story is being told everywhere.

Who We Are: Unison Media - Classical Music PR Firm
Andrew Ousley
Founder & President

Andrew Ousley formed Unison in 2015, and rapidly established it as one of the top PR/Marketing companies for classical music, opera and the performing arts. He formed the company based on the principles of honesty, transparency, and holding himself and his staff to a higher standard of results.

Andrew also founded the non-profit Death of Classical, where he curates, presents and produces the two award-winning concert series The Crypt Sessions and The Angel's Share, offering classical music and opera performances in a Crypt in Harlem and the Catacombs of Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn. DoC concerts have been included among The New York Times "Best Classical Music Performances of 2017" list, and featured in Vogue, Vox, The New York Times, NPR and many, many more.

Before forming Unison, Andrew spent a decade at the top of major record labels, working at EMI and Warner Classics, and overseeing the marketing, promotion, publicity and project management of fourteen #1 albums, from core classical to crossover to Fifty Shades of Grey - The Classical Album.

In his spare time, Andrew runs Burger Club, and his photographs have been published in the Associated Press, Newsweek, New York Magazine, Philadelphia Inquirer and more.

Who We Are: Unison Media - Classical Music PR Firm
Mackenzie Horne
Director of Publicity

Mackenzie is known far and wide for her golden quill and rapier wit, which she's used to craft Shakespeare-level narratives for clients ranging from cutting-edge jazz musicians to some of Pittsburgh's hottest restaurants. Now she's using her gifts to tell a powerful and purposeful story about artists and their musical vision. Also fun fact - she grew up next to an emu farm... ask her about it!

Who We Are: Unison Media - Classical Music PR Firm
Bonnie Bee
Director of Culture & Operations

Bonnie was the first member of Team Unison back in 2015 when we formed, working alongside Andrew to build the company from a dream and a vision, into one of the leading Performing Arts PR, Marketing, and Branding agencies in the world. She returned to her native Singapore for a spell, managing development and sponsorships for The Esplanade (their equivalent of Lincoln Center), before returning triumphantly to Unison as our Director of Operations. Now, she uses her brilliant organizational mind and business acumen to keep our company on the cutting edge of excellence, ensuring that we deliver ever-greater results for all of our clients.

Who We Are: Unison Media - Classical Music PR Firm
Tru Pierone
Publicity & Marketing Account Manager

Tru comes to Unison following an internship at our sister nonprofit organization Death of Classical, where she used her social media prowess to fling magnificent missives from the Catacombs to the Interwebs, sharing our subterranean exploits far and wide. She now brings that deep savvy of all things social to the team at Unison, working with some of our top clients to cultivate their online followings and tell their stories. Other fun facts: she's a sensational soprano, a radio DJ, and an expert in Artisanal Ramen.

Who We Are: Unison Media - Classical Music PR Firm
Aurora Cady
Assistant to the President

Aurora helps keep our fearless leader, Andrew Ousley, from plunging into the depths of madness - a daily worry here at Unison. Her cool, calm demeanor, and her laser-like effectiveness, help ensure that every member of the team is working at the highest level.

Who We Are: Unison Media - Classical Music PR Firm
Nicholas Huff
Websites Creation Coordinator

Don't let his immaculately-manicured facial hair fool you - Nick Huff is a wild, untamable force of nature... whether tearing up opera stages with lyric tenor voice that's been called an instrument of "vocal and dramatic fearlessness,” or wielding his undeniable intellect and boundless Midwestern charm in his work with Unison's website and social media clients, Nick never fails to deliver the goods.

Who We Are: Unison Media - Classical Music PR Firm
Kwing Herrero
Website Creation Manager

Kwing (who also goes by "Jonathan", though we prefer his nickname!) is the man with the plan when it comes to our flourishing website-building wing. He works tirelessly to create gorgeous, functional, affordable, shiny new sites for artists of all stripes. He's like the Picasso of the pixel, the Michelangelo of HTML...

Who We Are: Unison Media - Classical Music PR Firm
Vanessa Lorica
Operations Assistant

Vanessa is the oil that keeps the Unison Machine operating at maximum capacity...she keeps the trains running on time, keeps the lights shining brightly, and stops Andrew from setting things on fire.

Who We Are: Unison Media - Classical Music PR Firm
Yiching Sung
Graphic Designer

We live in a visual culture, and it's precisely for that reason that we leave everything to Yiching when it comes to design. She's like a pyromanic King Midas, since everything she touches instantly turns to hot, fiery gold.

Who We Are: Unison Media - Classical Music PR Firm
Fay Eva
Style Consultant

Fay keeps our clients (and us) looking our Sunday Best no matter what day of the week it is. Whether styling photoshoots, sourcing clothing for events, or forging brand partnerships with designers, she makes sure we're always dressed to impress.

All hail Gizmo...The Untamed, King of the Kitty Castle, Father of Hairballs, Sailor of the Great Catnip Sea, Breaker of Feather Toys, Scratcher of Couches, and Lord Protector of the Realm.
